Serving The Cedar Valley

Dear Friends,

As most of you now know, with little advanced notice I closed my Gallery on December 13, 2014. I only had two months from sale agreement to closing date to move out to allow the Roth Accounting Firm to meet its tax season schedule.

My wife, Vicki and I then spent 3 months on a business trip first traveling to Florida then across the south visiting many destinations and ultimately ending up in California. Vic and I had many unique experiences during our travels.

We returned to Cedar Falls in early April busily setting up shop to hopefully serve your framing needs. I have established an “Appointment Only” framing order counter in the lower level of Simpson Furniture on Main St, just a couple of blocks south from my old location.

Please contact me on my business phone at 319-266-4681.

I carry my cell phone during the work week business hours and if I’m not available, please leave a message and I will return your call as soon as possible.
You are also welcome to send me an email at, Due to my scheduling opportunities, I’m now more available for in home consultations and framing installations.

Please do not call Simpson Furniture to reach me…..

Please also note I will accept checks or cash as payment for services, I no longer accept credit cards. Thank you for your consideration and past business.

Sincerely,  Greg Angove

More About Garland:

While attending high school in Des Moines, I worked at “Des Moines Paint” custom framing art,  I have been custom framing for 39 years and in the art and framing business for 35 years. Over those years I figure I have custom framed over approx. 48,000 pieces of art, including everything from prints, photo’s, original painting’s, cross- stitch, sports jersey’s, and many other’s.

One of the unique projects I had the fortune to work on was finding a piece of art for Dan Deery’s personal office in his recently built car dealership in Cedar Falls. The goal was to have elements in the painting that represented two of his dealership’s, Waterloo and Cedar Falls along with community landmarks which would attract the interest of his clients.

We choose artist Victor Nemo for the project. I provided the photo’s and Nemo layed out and created the beautiful, large (60″ x 40″) original mixed media painting.

Dan was extremely pleased with the end result and has had many wonderful comments on the piece.

Projects like this are the reason’s why I enjoy my job so much!
